PROF. DR. Ö. TAŞKIN YÜCEL
Haziran 1966 tarihinde Trabzonda doğdu. İlkokul eğitimini Rize Kurtuluş ilkokulunda ,orta ve lise eğitimini TED Ankara Koleji’nde 1976-1983 yılları arasında tamamladı.
Hacettepe Tıp fakültesinden 1989 yılında mezun olduktan sonra Hacettepe Tıp fakültesi KBB Anabilim dalında 1989-1993 yıllarında uzmanlık eğitimini aldı.
1993-1995 yılları arasında askerlik görevini Van askeri hastanesinde tamamladı.
Daha sonra 1995 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi KBB Anabilim dalında göreve başlayıp 1998 yılında Yrd.Doçent, 2000 yılında Doçent oldu.
2002 yılında 4 ay süreyle Amerika’da Michigan Üniversitesi KBB anabilimdalında özelikle burun sinüs hastalıkları ile burun ve yüz estetik cerrahisi konularında çalışmalarda bulundu. 2006 yılında Profesörlüğe atanan Dr Ö.Taşkın Yücel halen Hacettepe KBB Anabilim dalındaki görevine devam etmektedir.
Yurt içi ve yurtdışında birçok toplantıda davetli konuşmacı olarak yer alan Dr Taşkın Yücel Kulak burun Boğaz hastalıklarının her yönüyle ilgilenmekle beraber ağırlıklı olarak burun (estetik ve fonksiyonel ) sinüs, horlama ve çocuk tonsil-adenoid sorunlarıyla ilgilenmektedir.
Son yıllarda özellikle beyin cerrahisi ve KBB dalının ortak çalışmalarıyla gelişen endoskopik kafa kaidesi cerrahisi konusunda çalışmalarda bulunan Dr Yücel bu konudaki son gelişmeleri yakından takip etmekte ön kafa kaidesi , hipofiz ve klivus bölgesi ile nazofarinks ve paranazal sinüs bölgesinde yer alan tümörlerin endoskopik cerrahisini de uygulamaktadır.
